All traffic, DUI and criminal cases in Marin County are prosecuted at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael. The Superior Court is located on floor C of the historic Frank Lloyd Wright designed Civic Center built in 1957.
The C, court, floor is accessible only through the middle arch of the building and can be reached by the lobby elevator or stairs.
Traffic matters are typically heard in courtroom N by one of the traffic court commissioners. Misdemeanor DUI and criminal cases are handled on a pre-trial level in courtroom M and are assigned to judges in other courtrooms for motion hearings and trial calling.
